Dr Mar Sacau and Dr Pablo Durán Muñoz, both members of the IEO-VIGO ATLAS team, participated in this outreach event to present the main goals of the ATLAS project related to the research and conservation of Northwest Atlantic Vulnerable Marine Ecosystems to students, families and the general public. The event had about 400 visitors and combined educational aspects with entertainment, focused towards young audiences. The European Researchers' Night takes place in several cities across Europe, on the last Friday of September each year. It is a pan-European public celebration of research, facilitating the understanding of the impact of researchers' work on citizen’s life, and encouraging young people to embark on research careers.
