As with the first Open Sea Lab, OSLII also features diverse expert-led workshops on subjects such as data visualisation, business modelling, user testing and more. Expert technical coaches from EMODnet, ICES and Copernicus Marine will be there throughout the event to demonstrate how participants can fully exploit Europe’s wealth of marine open data resources.
Applications are now open and valid applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until spaces are filled. It's free to attend and people can register individually (match-matching to teams on Day 1), or they can already register as a team. This could be a great opportunity for a group from ATLAS to submit a team application to raise visibility of the project in its final year!
This is an extremely valuable learning and networking opportunity, as well as a chance to advance tentative ideas for novel applications using marine data. No prior experience is necessary and diverse experience is welcome.
So apply now, while spaces are available, and spread the word about this deep dive into the world of marine open data. Further details can be found at www.opensealab.eu/2019 and at the links below.
