July is proving to be a busy month for ATLAS partners charged with translating science to policy. We are attending two key meetings to raise the importance of deep-sea science and research: PrepCom4, the fourth and most likely final meeting of the Preparatory Committee for ocean biodiversity established by the United Nation's General Assembly (UNGA) (10-21 July 2017, UN Headquarters in New York) and the European Commission event: A New Era of Blue Enlightenment (12-14 July 2017, Lisbon, Portugal).
